Default Oak Orchad, Monroe and Orleans Co. Creeks, trip from Pulaski

Hi !

I will be from oct 18 th to oct 30th at Pulaski NY fishing mostly the SR and eastern Ontario lake tributaries. I'll have a car for my 13 days trip, and I'd like to try creeks in Monroe and Orleans County (Oak Orchard, Marsh creek or Sandy Creek). Is the trip worth it ? (or better staying at Pulaksi ?) Is the brown trout run is ok this time of year ? (late oct)

I know these creeks are even more crowded than the SR (maybe ?)...but I'd like to try. What do you think about leaving for one day Pulaksi and going there ?

Thanks for your help

Hey Ben

It's about a 3-4 hour drive to the Sandy from the Salmon and another hour to the Oak. It might make a real long day for you. I fish Sandy during the week,(my days off from work) its not too bad then, a lot less people. Saturday and Sunday,,,,,,no way, too many "drift-n-lift", aka, snaggers on the water. I am usually there on Wed, Thurs, or Fri, mornings. Check out some of the pics I posted last fall, some were with AJ. I believe you comented on a few.

Mike
