Default Wisconsin's Trout Season

The last month of season is always my favorite. The male browns are getting the spawning itch and traveling upstream and are opportunists when it comes to getting their meals. This make them more vulnerable to being caught. September is big ugly male brown month!

The brookies get that same itch and the big males are easier to catch also.

Len, there you go again, you turn me into a drool machine. While reading this, short as it was, the pics caused a severe reaction I can only compare to Pavlov's Dogs and my wife didn't even have to ask when she saw the pool of drool and slobber dripping off of my chin...

nice looking fish. I am in NE WI, and never get to see anything like that. What part of the state are you fishing in?
Thanks,
Nick

Len: Very nice indeed!
Not sure if I mentioned this before, but I read your article on the Driftless Area in American Angler, very well done! Congrats!
