Default Steelhead Season's slow go...

Well, the Salmon season has come and gone and it was decent... but just decent along the Wisconsin coast of Lake Michigan.

The Steelhead season, however, just refuses to kick off. Sure, there is come chrome... but it is far and few in between. River levels on some rivers are approaching 30 year lows and I can't remember an October or November this dry.

I ran up the Michigan Coast in search of Chrome and the story is the same. Managed a couple of skippers but that's it.

We need rain to roll in or we're not going to get a push until the ice forms then melts

I'm dying to get out on the river and may hit a larger river for the off chance at hitting something with light fluoro and some egg patterns... For the smaller rivers - no flow.

Cheers,
Mike.

Come on down to Ohio brother we finally got the flows and the season will jump off here in the next few days. Do the rain dance, offer the rain Gods a sacrifice or give the lake shore a shot.

Our season was not as good as usual, but as of late, we and the locals here have done excellent.
