Hi fishingnj,

If there are any Grayling in Wisconsin your best bet is the WDNR. Any Grayling would be tightly protected and it would surprise me that there would be a season to fish them. Grayling are not hatchery raised and they need clean water to survive naturally. Grayling don't compete with Trout very well. Between Trout and poor water quality the Grayling are headed to extension in the lower 48. They may already be at a point beyond saving.

They may be some Grayling in Southern Wisconsin but I don't know where. If there is a spot it would be better left alone. If you want to try Grayling I would go to Canada or Alaska.

Frank

Good call Frank,

There are no shortages of them here except where Pike have been illegally introduced to some lakes and ponds. Why? You got me but they why do people do so many things we can't explain?

I usually don't make an effort for them but will take a camera this year and then post a few pictures here. They are an unusual and a pretty fish.
