Default Any brave souls out there....

been chipping ice from the guides and flash freezing their feet chasing steel? I've been getting out here and there and rapidly approaching two months fishless. Last Friday I got out and blew it! I only fished three runs but they're quite long first two, zip, get to the last run make it to the tailout and doughnut again. The MoJo was flowing so I swapped flies and started back at the top, make it back to the tailout bam! One caught me snoozing (in all fairness I was watching an eagle) on the hang down. Light a smoke to calm the nerves and change up to a smaller pattern start at the top and again right at the bucket GAME ON! BIG bright fish nearly ran me into the next riffle, got'em headed my way and into the slower water and just like that.......GONE!!! I love it though, I guess its instances like that that keep that fire burning so to speak. All in all, great experiance, good to feel the fish, heart breaking to know it was a big'un! Oh well atleast I know I did part of it right and will obviously be back for more!
Tight Lines Fellas

Got my first "fix" of 2011 on the 4th when we had that tropical day... Not a lot of fish, but a lot less people to share the water with...Waiting for the next day of opportunity...
