Talking Slightly Overkill

I took my rig out the lake today to try for big carp today, well the tailing carp were out of range, so after fooling around a bit i decided to put on some lighter flys just to catch something.. and I did. this lil fella took a ride on a snapT,, or most of one haha. I didnt even know it was on the line.

At least you didn't tire him out because you were fishing some ultra light outfit My first fish on a 2 hander was an 11" char, the rod was 13' - 9 weight with a 15 pound leader.

shortly after this one I caught an even smaller sunfish.. just had to laugh a bit. because the carp the size of my legs were surfacing about 50 ft too far out.

It's amazing how many fish I get when I'm either shaking my line out of the rod or doing something like a snap T. I tried to cast my best one yet this summer. An 18" Smallmouth. I've got a big rod but I can't get that one out of the water.
