Default Help choosing my first spey rod

I'm trying to evaluate several rod brands in selecting my first spey rod. I'm looking at Sage Z-Axis and Loomis Versa Spey but before I decide I wanted to get some information on Hardy's Swift MKII Double Handed rods as well. there are no dealers anywhere near me that carry these rods. My trip is to the lower Dean River in BC and the guide is recommending a 9wt rod to handle Skagit style lines in the 600 to 650 class with a very fast rod. Anyone have any experience with the Hardys? Thanks.

Thanks, I have a Loomis on the way from Mike at R.S. and will be casting a Sage this weekend. Still haven't found a Hardy or anyone who has used one yet.

I just bought an Orvis HLS 14' 9 wt. spey rod. One of the older unsanded rods. Looks like new. Now I am going to figure out how to cast it.

Hopefully Burk responds to this thread. I am not sure if he has an affilliation with Hardy, but he knows the product well.
