is it just me or has it been too freakin hot here in northern illinois the past couple of days? holy sh##! been fishing, but too hot to stay long. what a spring.

Agreed! The A/C didn't even get a chance to start slowly. It has been going full steam ahead here in Aurora/Naperville!

It's the same here on the East Coast. It's hotter that hell and it feels like I'm breathing throw a wet towel.

Same here in Ohio...Feels like we are walking through a steam shower! We were one degree off of a record high for yesterday, and we are projected to set a record high today. On top of that, the deerflies just started to swarm...what a wonderful week!

Wierd. In California I drove through freezing rain Sunday morning. It warmed up a little yesterday, but far from hot.

I wish you could ship a bit of that out here to the PNW. We're still running our furnaces; darned lucky is a day gets into the high 60's.

When I think of too hot to fish here in NorCal its got to be at least 100 degrees.

Attention New Fly Fishers and those just wanting to improve- Join a Fly Fishing Club. They have classes on every aspect of fly fishing for beginners to advanced for free or cheaper than offered elsewhere. Some offer mentor programs. You will make friends with other fly fishers. Clubs often have outings in which members pay special group rates for guides or to fish prime private access areas.

Not sure about them but in PA we have a heat index of 101 today.
