His is 'over kill' vis a vis the difference between (O)port(o) and Sherry but there really is a hell of a lot of difference: Knowing the difference between Port & Sherry - by Wandering Wino - Helium

Oporto is only from certain Regions of Portugal, 'Port' can be from anywhere. Trust me, you really can tell/taste the difference.
