I saved the Christmas ham bone for New Years day. We'll have a big cast iron Dutch oven full of Hoppin' John. Old southern custom to bring good luck in the new year

Sandy, my Yellow Lab, has only one requirement ... all empty plates must be up on the floor next to him for 'clean up duty.' Not 'empty' is even better.
