Default Another Moose Makes the Cut;

I explain the title in an entry I put on the blog here right before posting this set of pictures. This guy hung around for a while right after day break I stick pictures and longer stories on our blog option now so they don't get lost among our thousands of threads. I got some good pictures but they had to be taken from inside or he would have ran.

Great photos! We get an occasional deer or two, turkey throughout the year, and the always popular (NOT) woodchuck that seems to have established residency under my toolshed, but NOTHING like that!!!!

About 2 weeks ago there were 5 camped out here at the same time, unfortunately several of them met with cars nearby. I wrote about this briefly on the blog but may revisit the subject. The number of these animals (standing 5' at the shoulder and 6.5 - 7' at the head) that are hit by motorists who 'don't' see them is mind boggling.

Hey Moose Lovers

A 2 year old spike just wandered through out back, that's 3 bulls in the past little while. I sure hope he stays away from the road............. No pictures because it's snowing really hard right now

They like the young birch saplings
One of their favorite foods this time of year
Because of the (black) birch, we have them visiting our camp right here in CT in late winter

Out of curiosity I am wondering if you find their sheds very often?
From what I know they should be loosing them here shortly.....
Being you have so many running through the yard seems like you may get lucky and one could drop them on you door step for ya!

That's pretty sweet to have those guys running around outside your place..thanks for sharing

cheers,
Watson
