I had me a good dose of Foreigner this afternoon. Cold as ice was always a favorite of mine.

As for Primus, Les was always a big influence for me back when I played bass. Being able to nail Electric Uncle Sam note-for-note was one of my life accomplishments.

Yup, I always thought that Foreigner was one of the under-appreciated groups; sort of in the same bucket as Pablo Cruise, REO Speedwagon, etc.

Head Games was my favorite Foreigner song:

Not much to see, but I prefer the old Lou Gramm to the "new" one.

Another favorite - Grand Funk Railroad; Mark Farner, Closer to Home:

Oh, and I just can't excape this post without mentioning the Herman Hess inspired group: Steppenwolf. John Cay was, I think, way ahead of his time; Born to be Wild

After thinking about Foreigner, I had to put on my headphones this morning and crank up Urgent.

Just finished watching/listening to the Outlaws, live in HD at TRI Studios. They really rocked the joint! Cool place to hang out. milt.

Pocano, killer Steppenwold! I started college all over again in 1978; man, I remember this from the little country bar the school was in incredibly. What a great jolt! Thanks.

I've been feeding some CD's into the player on the computer at night. The one I had in when I said Gilmore was one he released a few years ago titled David Gilmore, it's pretty good. I followed that up with Kitaro 'Ten Years' a 2 disc set and then A 'various artists' compilation of space music, The Voyage Beyond.

Does anyone have or listen to what is commonly called Space Music? I discovered it almost 21 years ago while listening to Echos with John Diliberto at night on Public Radio. pretty good stuff, the program is still running if you check your NPR station you may have access.
