I'm with DD on the "change for the sake of change" (or so it seems to me, anyway) of the websites he mentions.

I'm trying to stay on the old photobucket. I have Picassa; haven't thought of using it as a place to import pics to a forum before. Will have to give it a go.

I do like that Speypages let's you import photos right from your computer rather than having to upload then download from some secondary site. That makes life so simple.

My ex-wife didn't call me Analog Man for nothing. Somebody even wrote a song about me: Joe Walsh - Analog Man (Live) - YouTube

I have not had any problems. I did switch back to the old format from the new, mainly because when I would upload photos it would file them according to when the photo was taken and not when I uploaded them which made it very difficult to find them. The older format ques them up as they are uploaded.

Gotta love Joe Walsh. That was a song I had not heard before.

Kelly, if it lets me switch back I'm doing it. Unfortunately, like time line you get to switch back for a limited time only most of the time when they do this stupid stuff. Have any of you guys noticed there seems to be a lot in common with the changes they are doing on a lot of this? It makes you wonder if there is some really annoying egg head out there working for a company they all hire to screw up their sites.

Speaking of ads, have you noticed that they recently improved their ability to get in your computor and see what you have been looking at? I looked at Sierra Trading Post for an inflatable poontoon and the next thing you know, every stinkin site I go to has ads for Sportsmans Guide's list of Pontoons. It did the same thing with waders. I looked at a couple places for waist high waders, and then got barraged with wader ads. I wonder what happens when you clear all of your cookies out every time you get done on the internet?

I'm with you Dan. I don't know why some of these software "geniuses" feel the need to make drastic changes to web pages or software in general when it works good as is. Chi and I were just discussing the latest iTunes last night. The newest is much harder to use and navigate through than the previous. What you could do, is try an alternate web browser like Firefox and use private browsing. That might help you cut down on those adds because none of the cookies are saved. You can actually import your favorites from other browsers as well.

Back on point, I haven't tried to download from Photobucket. Uploading has never been an issue for me.

Facebook tracks your "likes", Google tracks your everything I hate it! I can't even watch anything or listen to music via youtube because of the ads my old think pad can't process all that junk happening at the same time.

On my old computer, Photobucket was just too junky with ads and what not. The computer had enough trouble keeping up with what I was wanting to see. All their suggestions and other cr*p just made it impossible to use. My sister suggested Dropbox. You can create a separate personal and public file to download from, store photos in etc.
Our family has a group file we can all add photos to to share. Also-no ads etc. Pretty user friendly. Free.
Although, it would be a lot handier if I could post here direct from my computer. I'm guessing the site is set up this way to prevent migrating malware?

For ads I use an ad blocker a friend made, but also at home I have a nice firewall.

For photobucket I have not had any issues, but I have a way above average connection speed for work. So if I ever get lag somewhere, most of the area should be getting lag.
