Default Black Friday, the wife and the Juan

Next Friday and Saturday, temps might be in the 40's and and it might be sunny. For late November, great weather to be on the San Juan.

How to convince Joanne that going there will be far more rewarding than fighting Black Friday crowds?

Not really looking for advice, just surfacing the conundrum of the day...

On another note, I'm in "Winter Storm Warning" Santa Fe. We're about to get hammered, snow-wise. And we definitely need it. Looks like it's going to be a good snow year if this keeps up.

Bob, do the Black Friday thing first. We're talking 5AM. Spend a few hours shopping, go out to a nice breakfast, and be a hero. Then, after the frost burns off, hit the Juan for the rest of the day

I have made it a tradition to fish on Thanksgiving, home by 12 and Black Friday.

There is no way, if you go shopping, you could save the amount of reward than a beautiful mountain stream and surroundings provide.

Im just sayin...

Thursday, starts with an early hunt.

Friday is in the field and on the water.

Saturday is whatever was best on Friday.

Sunday, recover...watch football, tie bugs.

Monday...shake my head and say I cant believe it's Christmas time again!!

All good advice. I broached the subject last night, and she was receptive.

She likes fishing the BWO hatch, so that's a big plus. We were up there 2 weeks ago and it was seriously good. She got a pretty big one (19"+) on a 24 Adams. Made her day.

Thanks,
Bob
