Default Re: Shoes You Wear

I have a bit of a shoe problem.

Allen Edmunds -
Park Avenue in Black and Bourbon
Ashton in Black and Brown
Delray in Black

Johnston & Murphy -
Hyde Park II - Black - 2 pair
Aldrich II Cap Toe - Burgundy
LaSalle - Brown
Hanley - Black

Kenneth Cole - Dress Boot - Brown

North Face hikers
Vans - couple pair
Ugg - Slip On Oxford
Ugg - Sandals - Brown
Columbia Boots - Fleece

Running:
New Balance - 3 pair various

And a few others that I'm definitely leaving out. I have a weakness for good dress shoes. They breathe better and wear better over the long haul. When treated well, with appropriate polishing and shoe trees, they last a very long time. Allen Edmonds are far and away the best when it comes to a shoe that can be refurbished and rebuilt to almost new and it's not uncommon for a pair to last me 10 years. After a while, the collection grows and the rotation grows more diverse, lending to additional wear years.

Cheers,
Mike.

I have a hard foot to fit. Merrills (laceup models) do the trick fine..

Merrill Moab light hikers
Merrill Leather Casual shoes

Keen closed toe sandals for summer
Pair of Chaco flip-flops for hanging out

Also found Lowa boots and shoes to work well... I pair of Lowa light, lowtop hikers and one pair of Lowa hightop hiking boots.

For the river.... Korkers (but thinking of a switch to Patagonia)

I seem to have quite a few shoes / boots too...

Several pairs of Red Wing steel toes for work
Kamik and Sorrel boots for our MN winters
Irish Setter and Rocky boots for hunting
Asolo Sassalong hiking boots, and an older pair of Merrells
a couple pairs of dress shoes that don't get worn too often anymore
LL Bean West Branch wading shoes... not a big fan of these, plus an older pair of Cabela's wading boots - time to upgrade to Simms!
A pair of Asics Dan Gable wrestling shoes from high school that I dug out of storage now that I'm coaching youth wrestling
Asics running/cross-trainers

I'm sure I'm missing some... doesn't seem right that I have more shoes than my GF, but most of them are outdoor sports related, so I guess it's ok!

Gotta love the Allen Edmond shoes, great value once you get past the $300-$400 price tage

Their re-crafting service is unreal, they come back like new
