Default My electric shaver is 'toast????'

Used this thing for close to 40 years and this morning ... waaa and waaa.

Sounds dumber than hell but there's 'equipment' you've used for decades and now 'gone?'Need's a new battery or just a 'drop the dime' and get a new one via Amazon.com.

But I ramble; as usual.

I gave up on shaving over the winter.
I'm not sure that I really like the new look, but it's easy
I just run the hair clippers over it once a month and I'm good to go.

Fred: I'm pretty sure you got your money's worth on that shaver after 40 years of use! Pretty amazing it lasted so long, they sure don't build things to last like that anymore.

Larry, your comments are the same as what was going through my mind as I read Fred's post. They sure don't make things today like they used to. Things used to be made to last, now many items seem to be made disposable.

Amazon is a wonderful thing!

Had to laugh, the old puppy is a Norelco. But a WHAT THE HECK moment. At 0500'ish thing is deader than a door-knob so stuck it in the charger unit. ZIP lights.... now 0900 PDT and the 'SOB' is fully charged.

As said above, "They don't make ...." The rest of me may look like ten miles of dirt road, but at least my chin is smooth. One I can't do diddly about, but a good shave is a small blessing.

Me thinks ... on occasion.

I can not stand the feel of a close shave. I've clipped or trimmed back to a shadow most of my life. Let the beard grow a little in the fall and winter to keep the windchill down. I get those in growns like crazy. Close shaving is an oppressive social convention. Trimming and clipping are more civilized.

I used to have a electric razor, thing got so dull It was either rubbing the whiskers off or pulling them out by the roots. I will not miss that Christmas gift.

I have a Norelco. Even has as a pop up mustache trimmer. Think I bought it for one shave. If anyone's seen a picture of me in the last decade they'd know I have no need for it. You're welcome to it.
