Default FDA Wants to Turn Mosquitoes with Herpes Loose in the Keys

I always thought there was plenty of that in Key West, but this could be interesting....

FDA could set millions of genetically modified mosquitoes loose in Florida Keys | Fox News

I may file this under government plans like introducing Autumn Olive and Multiflora Rose to farmers, planning to build deep water ports in Alaska with atomic bombs in the 50's, or that idea of rocket launching nuclear waste into the sun.

Then again, isn't something like this sort of how Spider-Man got his start?? Talk about some awesome tippet material...

Can't put a pipeline in but we can release herpes mutated mosquitoes on the general public.

Don't worry! Asbestos is great! Right along with agent orange and cocaine.

Really guys?
Spider-Man, Mothra, Jurrasic Park are all fiction . . . that means made up stories, not real.
Dengue and Chikungunya are very, very real, and very serious threats.
These mosquitoes have been released in large scale tests (millions of the little guys, yes, all male) for a couple years now, with zero reported problems by people looking very hard for any problems.

WHEN, not if, when, Dengue and Chikungunya arrive in the US everyone will be shrieking "why didn't they do something".

Now, let's all go back to yelling about under inflated footballs.

And all this time I thought Jurassic Park was a documentary...I guess there is no joking around allowed on here.

I tell you what, this forum is getting ridiculous.
