When I lived in Laramie, WY I watched that show religiously, now I catch it when I can, but hadn't heard the show had fired Clarkson, it will be interesting to see how the new show and format work out.

Personally, the BBC version (my understanding the original) was no where as much fun as the U.S. version which has been nothing short of hit and miss of late on airing......Them thar knuckleheads cracked me up

Me Too. I gave the USA version a try for several episodes. Maybe they have gotten better.

IMO BBC Version > US Version

This is going to be very interesting. They can't call The Stig, The Stig anymore and I wonder how much else is going to change? I imagine they will have even less restraint on them now that they are on Amazon. I am cautiously optimistic.

I love the show. I have found that the American version is a bad rip off of the British version. I have seen episodes that the US has done that the Brits did a few seasons earlier. I'm glad that these three men have stuck together on this departure. I will be looking for their new show in the future.

Pretty sure a birdie told me that the U.S. version has been cancelled. I like both versions, with a slight nod to the Brit version just because it's interesting to see how they view American muscle and the wacky bits they come up with, like when they built apartments onto the back of three cars then drove them down the highway. Or when they decided to drive combines through a village to a field and not one of them had any experience driving a combine. Think one of them ended up knocking over a telephone pole. Good stuff.

Big fan of the Brit version, if a car is rubbish, they say so. Not allowed in the land of the free.

Question is: Where is the producer? He's the real genius.
