Hey everybody,

just dropping in again to say hi and tell you about my weekend fishing

Finally caught some fish. i caught three rainbows all around twelve inches.

That was on sunday i caught those fish, saturday didnt catch nothing but i didnt care. Im thinking the water needs to warm up more for some bugs to start hatching. lots of ants though on the water.

And that's about it. just wanted to drop in and say hi and tell you about my fishing.

New to the forum and just wanted to say "Howdy". It's blowing like crazy here along the Texas Gulf Coast. I dread this time of the year because it's normally blowing 25-40mph....*grrrr*. Soon Summer will be here and I'll be throwing flies at big tailing reds........*sigh*. =) Screaming Reels....

I have seen that misspelling thing before. It is cool!

Does anyone else get frustrated this time of year? The weather is nice enough to get out, and the bugs are out too, but most of the rivers around here are too high and dirty to fish! Ugh!

Dorian: You could always try stripping some streamers, they will usually bring up some fish when the water clarity isn't very good, or maybe fishing a lake or reservoir. Yesterday, I fished the North Fork of the South Platte river and it was swollen with run off yet the fishing was outstanding, but we were fishing on private water. Talking with the guides they use a little larger and flashier flies when the water turns color.

Joni: That is funny you mention the San Juan worm. That was the hot fly on the North Fork of the South Platte yesterday. We were using a pink pattern and a shammy pattern, they were very productive!
