Who is this Christmas baby? Born 12/25/46, I am one of eight authors to reach #1 on both NY Times bestseller lists, fiction and non-fiction. A list that includes Steinbeck, Hemingway, and Dr. Seuss. I wrote the song "I Don't Know (Spicoli's Theme)" for the movie 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'. I hold a bachelor's degree in history and a multi-engine pilot's license. I have a licensed beer label, own a restaurant chain and co-own another. Oh, I am also an avid flyfisher. Who am I?

Better keep her, she's way too sharp! Buffett also has been part owner of minor league baseball teams, wrote a song for the Miami Dolphins, had like 9gold and 8 platinum albums, and helped with hurricane and oil spill recovery in the Gulf, among other things. Not bad for a parrothead. milt.

You're probably correct... he is given "credit" for the song on his Wiki page and the FastX page, I didn't dig any deeper than that. milt.

Hit a wall (in the few minutes I had to 'research') but came up with Big Zero on who actually wrote the song.
