I have to take some time off soon or I will lose it....Ive been using the 5wt 9ft set up that I picked up from Steve. Can you guys local to Tx recommend some fishing spots that will be well suited to my current set up?

Best spot right now, assuming there's still water in the upper Guad, would be the Guadalupe just downstream from Waring, TX. The water is cool, and you have full shade from a cypress canopy overhead. The Nueces near Camp Wood would be worth checking out as well.

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.

Thanks Cliff, actually the Nueces is right here in my backyard.....sort of, lol at a scant 26 miles away....We have a private lil swimmin hole in between a couple of ranches somewhere in between 19 mile and Camp Wood......But in visiting it a few days ago, the water is terribly low......

Ive been wanting to fish the Guad since the beginning, and maybe I will visit o'er yonder for a few days....

Thanks for the reply...

Bruce
