Default LMF July 5-8th

Had a great camping/fishing trip. Luckily, we missed out on all the very heavy rains that fell in other parts of the state, so it made for some very good fishing. Caught lots of 15-20" trout. My largest was a beautiful 22" rainbow. Most of my fish were caught on nymphs and soft hackles. Did catch a few on dries and missed several also. Water was semi-clear. Lake still stirred up from all the heavy May rains. Water coming out of the dam was a mild 65 degrees. Rather warm for this early in the year. Hoping with the more normal water releases, the lake will re-stratify and keep the river cool through the rest of the hot summer months.
