Default LMF trip 11/25/2015

Met a good friend of mine at the LMF River today. We had a productive day with many trout brought to hand, bows and browns. Largest was an 18 1/2" bow , but caught several in the 16-17" range. Weather was overcast and wet during the morning but lead to clearing skies by afternoon. The afternoon was the better fishing by far for us. Again. A great day to be on the river.

We were thinking about monday but have changed our minds due to the rain forecast. Maybe Roaring river monday if they don't get too much rain. It's always good to hear fish are being caught. Any spillway creek fish or all down below it?

Well, if our local news stations are correct, the Broken Bow area could get over 6" of rain. There is already a Flash Flood Watch for that area. Could get the lake back on the rise with more releases from the generators.
Yes. We did good in both zones(I and II). We only fished the Evening Hole for about thirty minutes before dark. It was crowded most of the day.

El Niņo is doing it's thing again. Heavy rains for a lot of Oklahoma. The Upper Mt. Fork was running 186 cfs this morning, and now it's over 33,000 cfs with an inflow to Broken Bow Lake over 75,000 cfs. The lake has risen over 4' within 16 hours. Quite a storm system.

I haven't looked at Broken bows number yet but I dont think any more damage could be done after the flood earlier this year.

The high was a little over 83000cfs inflow, down in the 69000 cfs range now. Looks like Hugo has had close to 9"

I was sure a "doubting Thomas" when they predicted a swath of 9-12" of rain for southeastern Oklahoma. Just didn't think we would get that much. I was wrong as usual.
