Default New In Northern California

Hello all. I live in a small town east of sacramento named Foresthill. Im new to fly fishing, but do have the equipment. Im looking for a fishing buddy to help me along. Im retired, so have all the time in the world. Im 59, but dont care what age you are, just would like to have a buddy to help. If you would like to go fishing, let me know. I also have a small fishing boat, and a canoe. This is a nice site, and thats for letting me in.
Have a good fishing day........lol......

There is some great fly fishing in your area. You seem to be a ways from any main highways but that wouldn't stop me from searching out the good fishing. How long does it take you to get to US80?

Frank

Hi Frank,
Thanks for the response. From I80 in Auburn, it is 18 miles up the foresthill rd. to my house. Yeah. the whole american river area is not hard for me to get to. Would look forward to fishing. Thanks again.

Hi Ned and Welcome,

I'm a newb here myself and have been delinquent in starting a thread in this section. I live in El Dorado Hills. Not exactly down the street but we certainly fish the same waters. I'm looking to make a trip to the upper Yuba and it's creeks this summer and would love to have you along if you are interested. I also get to Reno on business on ocassion (which brings me near your local) and like to throw the rod in the truck just in case. I'm by no means and expert but will share what I can.

Mike
