Long Island checking in

Hi all. I'm Terrence (go by kidnoc here). I am about a year into fly fishing with only a few times on the water but I am obsessed with all things fly.

I live on Long Island, just outside New York City. I've done a little saltwater from the shore and tried the small streams and tailwaters in the Croton Watershed in Westchester County.

Planning 2012 to my first full season on the water.

Hi Kidnoc, welcome. I grew up in Staten Island and fished LI waters before moving to NJ. You live in a pretty sweet place if your a flyrodder. You have saltwater, Trout and warm water fishing all on one island. I'll let you know if I'm ever out your way. There are also some pretty good fly fishing clubs out there, where are you located?

Greetings, Kidnoc! I'm new at fly as well, and I get to LI somewhat frequently for work. Would love an opportunity to get together wet a couple of lines, show off my casting ineptitude, and then maybe solve the problems of the world over a pint or two!
