Default Newcomer says hi!

Hi everyone! Started back into flyfishing a few years ago and this year, since I am currently unemployed, got bit by the bug!! I've been out quite a few times here in Maryland on the Savage River in Western Maryland. The river is full of brookies and browns and a few rainbows. It's a tailwater river from the Savage River Reservoir and the brooks and browns are naturally reproducing fish. And smart too! But the bigger the challnge, the greater the reward! Nothing like sailing that fly out, letting it drift right where you send it (or close!), seeing the rise, feeling the tug and fight is on!! What a feeling! I love it!! I'm learning a lot this year and have lots more to learn. I'll share what I've learned and am ager to learn more myself! I just enjoy being on the river, sitting on a rock enjoying a nice cup of hot coffee while watching for rises. Looking forward to hearing from you all!!

Welcome to the group! Sounds like you need no instruction on how to enjoy this sport!

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.

Like Brad Pritt said, "It's going to take me three more years to think like a fish!" so I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for the welcome!
