Hello & Welcome,

It sounds like you are in a good spot to develop your skills, I hope you get one of those nice Ausable browns.

Swimmingdownriver-- welcome to the forum- you'll have some great fishing on the Ausable to look forward to -- but in the meantime don't go swimmingdownriver during steelhead season-- wait until it warms up a bit.

welcome, how did the fishing go on the Au Sable go? i heard through my sources that your guide only let you and your long time fishing partner fish for an hour then pulled the plug on the whole trip saying it was "too cold" and "how about i show you some spots you can go to by yourself". is this true? you wasted a whole day to get to fish for only one hour?
