I'm a dedicated flyfisher with 35 years of experience. I learned to cast while in college in northern California and cut my teeth on anadromous fish in the Eel, Klamath, Trinity and Mad rivers. Given the sorry state of anadromous fish runs today, I target trout exclusively. I collect vintage bamboo rods and reels and have tied my own flies for years.

Welcome to the forum. I look forward to your post. What bamboo rods do you have?

I use to fish the Eel, Klamath and Smith river for Steelhead in the 50's.

I've got a number of Orvis rods: an 8' '99', a 8-1/2' Limestone Special, a 8' Nymph, a 7' Seven-Three, a 6-1/2' Flea and a 5'9" Ultralight. My rod bag also includes a 7-1/2' Leonard Duracane, a 7-1/2' T&T factory Special Trouter, a W&M Granger 9050 Special, a Pezon et Michel 6' Midget, and a 1972 Hardy Marvel 7-1/2' 3/2.

Any other 'caneiacs' here?
