Default Hello from Idaho Panhandle

Hi,
My name is Joe and I live in Coeur d' Alene.
Just getting started in fly fishing and am dragging a buddy into it as well.
We will be focusing our efforts in wading and pontoon floating on the Coeur d' Alene and St. Joe rivers.
This looks like a great forum and I look forward to some good discussion.
Regards.

lbsid, welcome! Beautiful country up there. I was born and raised on the other end of the state, but I go back up there every chance I get. I fish more the far eastern portion like Idaho Falls, Palisades, Island Park, Henry's, but look forward to hearing about the BIG FISH waters you have. Pictures will be required ;-)

Thank you Mods for the warm welcome.
I too am looking forward to "tooning" on the local rivers next spring.
My son and I did a five mile float and fish in Sept and had a ball.
There is nothing quite like cruising on moving water. It's just the coolest thing.

Munkh,
I could use some info on put in points on The Joe. We got run off a couple of times by less than friendly landowners last season.
Thanx to all,
Joe

If by put in points you mean for the Toons Im not sure I havent used mine on the Joe yet. Most of my fishing on the Joe has been on the north fork either going over moon pass out of Wallace, Going into Montana and taking the Taft exit and go up and over Roland Summit and drop down. None of these are deep enough for Toons tho. I used to fish around Red Ives as well my wifes Aunt and Uncle used to be the campground hosts there so I would fish while they visited.

I havent fished the lower Joe since I was a kid. Some people my wife works with have floated in innertubes. Ill have to findout where they were putting in at. If thats what you are looking for.
