Hi from sunny(not) Edinburgh

Hello all, Scottish member, always interested in what's happening across the water. Been fishing for quite a few decades now, seen the wheel go round a few times, still enjoying it all, maybe more than ever. Roll on 2013!
Tight lines and seasonal greetings to all.
Tony

Welcome! Does the season stay open through the winter or does everything freeze over/shut down? Look forward to your posts.

Tony: Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to reading about your fishing in Scotland. Hasn't been too sunny here in Wyoming either, they keep forecasting snow, but so far just a dusting, but mostly dark skies passing overhead. Hopefully, the Wind River Range is getting lots of the white stuff.

Thanks for the kind welcome! Plenty of fascinating reading here to last out the closed season. It's cold but not really freezing yet in Edinburgh - we have a maritime climate (rainy). Our first early rivers open in early January (for salmon), and everything else should be up and running by end February. I won't be venturing forth till March though... unless invited somewhere nice:)

Welcome aboard Tony! Kafjord, Norway? Never heard much of it but it just sounds like big salmon and char!
