Hello

It appears I joined this forum some time ago,and forgot about it.My name is Charlie,I'll be 64 next month, and live in N.W. Penna.I started fly fishing and tying in the 80s.I found my calling was fishing for warm water species, and making lures from wood.I don't know how many thousands of lures I've made
over the years, but have never come up with a name for one of them. Most everything I do is an attempt at imitating bait fish.I developed a thing for hooks, and if I see a hook that is different,I have to try to make something out of it.I'd like to post some of my work, and see what you think.I'll start off with basic poppers.I'm not very learned on the computer, but will try to respond to any questions.I hope you enjoy. Let me know if this is too many photos for one post.

Thank you
Charlie

Thank you,the small one is #12 Mustad 33903.Top one is a 10/0 Mustad turtle hook, I have no intention of trying to fish it.

Nice, that 10/0 would make a good decoration and topic of conversation in the fly room/den/man cave.

NO, they are all made of balsa.Cork or foam just don't allow me to make the shapes or get the actions I want.I'll show some made of Basswood later.I use it when I want more strength or weight, and on full size spinning lures.
