Default Hello from the Central Coast of Ca.

Hello my name is Pete and I am a fly fishing addict. They say the first step to recovery is admitting I have a problem. New to the forum but not fly fishing. Been whipping the water to a froth, with a fly line, for about 25 years.

Not to much in the way of moving water fly fishing near by. Have been eye balling the Pacific and maybe going the switch rod route. I have read quite a bit about the advantages and disadvantages of switch rods. But, that is food for another post. If I build a switch rod it will be for both the Pacific and the occasional trip up north for Steelhead. Very open to any suggestions on what switch to build. Thinking about trading a buddy a Bamboo blank for a Sage 7 wt, 11'6" switch blank.

Thanks for listening, but time for me to head back to the studio and plane some more Bamboo.

Pete

Pete: I didn't see this post earlier, but anyway, "Welcome to the Forum" for the second time!

Your comment about whipping the water to a froth certainly reminds me of myself when I tried to learn how to fly fish back in the early 80's. LOL!

Chris
Well there are a few of us who, at best, are "questionable."
Welcome to the Asylum.
