Hello from New Mexico
Just wanted to introduce myself, I am from Northern New Mexico and have been flyfishing for around 14 years. The San Juan River is my home river and I have just started to chase fish in salt water..I look forward to talking with everyone.

Miguel: Welcome to the forum! Must be tough duty to have to fish the San Juan as your home water (I could be so lucky). :D
You do any Pike fishing in the area, I've heard it was pretty good at times?

Re: Hello from New Mexico
Thanks guys for the welcome guys...The San Juan has been a great river to me and I was very lucky lucky to be able to learn to flyfish on it.. Larry the pike fishing up at Navajo Lake can be awesome in the spring time, I have tried it a few times and turned a few but never hooked up.Hopefully this year I can get out and try it more...The hotspot here in NM is the tiger muskies in Bluewater lake..

Hello NM. I'm new here too.
Keep your rod high and your line tight (until the weather warms).

Re: Hello from New Mexico
wellcome to the forum, grew up in New Mexico. One of my favorites was Lake Heron for the deep lake trout.

Re: Hello from New Mexico
Thanks guys...Kayo what part of NM did you grow up in? Heron is one lake I have never fished. One of these days. Hey Bob good luck on the Juan tomorrow its been fishing great. It has been a bit crowded the past few weeks but cold weather might keep some people from fishing. I am going to skip it this week and drive up North meet my brother and try my hand at fishing the Gunny and the Taylor again.
