My wife is originally from the Netherlands. She's not really an angler, and can't tell me what kind of fishing you have there. What kind of fish do you go after, and in what kind of water?

Scott
Hello Mr Scott

On the first place we dont have in our country such strong fighting (predator) fish as in your country. That's why I love Florida. Family of my wife lives in Florida and once a year we are going on holiday to Fort Lauderdale. And of course I go to the candy shop: bass pro shop.
One problem: my wife take off my credit card.

Predator fish in our country: we are fishing with big, large, streamers for pike. We use for that kind of fishing a'n aftma 8 - aftma 10 fly rod. Depending on the lenght and the material of the streamers. The pike is not a very strong, long, fighting fish, but they are beautiful. The pike don't take long runs, but short runs. Big fish, not a predator fish, is the carp. They are taking long runs and are really very nice to catch.

And we have the traditional bass; nice fish to catch. For the salt water fishing we have a nice bass; we call them seabass. The seabass is coming in our waters in the spring/summer. The larger seabass are caught early in the autumn.

For catching trout, the fly fishermen, are often going to Germany to catch them.

Regards
