Thumbs up New from PA

I've been fishing for a few years now, but fly fishing is somewhat new to me.

Every now and then I would take out an older fiberglass Fenwick 7wt just to try, but lately I find myself leaving my spinning and baitcasting equipment at home in search of trout or bass with the fly rod.

I also just purchased a SOT kayak to that I can stand up on to fish and can't wait to get out on it with the fly rod.

Recent trout I caught on the fly on Penns Creek

Fiberglass!! (First welcome!)

And 'You Da Man.' My fav 'switch rod' (2hander) is an 11' glass. I can punch out to 90 feet with this Puppy properly lined with a Steve Gotshall custom build fly line.

Welcome to the forum! Great to see you fishing with glass, this past week I did a float trip with Chase (chaseb) and his friend Rob, both who are fiberglass affectionados!

Always good to see a Pennsylvanian signing on, feel free to share some landscapes in your photos. I grew up fishing PA. and even though I love the life here I do miss my old haunts.

Welcome to the forum,

Ard

I try to take a camera on most of my trips and will at least get some photos of the area I'm fishing if I can't get anything to bite. (Plenty of landscapes taken)
