Default Going to need help in NJ

On July 30th I'll be moving to NJ to be at Rugers for school. I have no clue about the fishing or the local shops. I could use some help when I get there, I have been once and seen a few rivers that I would'nt jump into with your waders, but I know there's more out there!

Ooh Camden, good old Camden! I spent about a month working there a couple of years ago and will never forget it. Camden itself is in pretty sad shape but there are some charming little townships around it. There's a restaurant in Oaklyn, about 8 miles SE of Camden called Philly's Phatties that makes the best Cheesesteaks I have ever had. Ever.

For fishing, you'll actually have a shorter drive to lots of saltwater fishing than you will freshwater. It won't even be an hour drive for you down to the shore and there are tons of good spots. Hate to route you to another site, but you'll wanna look at stripersurf.com. Its a Jersey based saltwater fishing site with the emphasis on fly fishing.

Quite a cross country journey to school you picked!

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.

Welcome to the forum.
What part of Washington are you currently in? Are you near the southwest corner? I will be there in July and could sure use some advice on the area (I have a float trip on the Deschutes planned but nothing else so far).
