Default Hello

Hi, my name is Randy and I am just starting out in this sport. I have been an angler since I was a kid, but I never fly fished. I need some advice on a fly rod and reel. Would I post these questions in the equpment section? Thanks alot.

hello and welcome to the forums

either the equipment, or the general section would be appropriate for your question, they both seem to see this question alot, some things that important to help answer your questions

how much you are looking to spend on the entire outfit

what species of fish

what part of the country are you fishing in

do you fish rivers, lakes, or small streams

Welcome to the group! Using the search feature is likely to get you more relevant information than any one new thread ever could.
