Hello Keith:

Welcome to the forum. We always welcome beginning fly fishers. There is a ton of information here for the experienced and novice fly angler alike. You can do a search for almost any fly fishing related topic and find a lot of good stuff.

If you have specific questions or needs... just post your requests. This forum is packed full of expert anglers, instructors, guides, etc that are just too eager to share their vast amount knowledge with you. So... just ask.

If need anything at all just let us know.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Keith,

Welcome aboard ... If I can help you I certainly will. If you are new to the sport, you might have problems with the fly cast; if so, please go to my site and download a free booklet I call "Excerpts." It is the same booklet I furnish my students a pretty well covers the basics.

You can also peruse a number of articles covering tippets, lines, rods and reels by accessing http://www.activeangler.com/flyfishing.

Good luck,

Doug
