Default Hello from Seoul

Hi guys, I'm new to fly fishing and just found this forum. I've been fishing all my life and finally got the opportunity to learn this sport through a good friend. I bought some gear for me and my son and we are heading to Inje this Sunday. Wish us luck. I'll post some pictures when we get back.

Hello,

So you are in So. Korea? If so it will be very interesting to see your pictures. I know very little about the country. Welcome to the forum,

Ard

Kilo, welcome to the forum and best of luck for your fishing trip to Inje. I'm sure that a lot of the members on the forum will be very interested to hear about the fishing in South Korea and look forward to your posts.

Good luck, and again welcome!

kilo6: Wow, your from Seoul, S. Korea. Welcome to the forum, you are very fortunate to have a good friend that can mentor you in fly fishing. Good luck on your fishing trip, we certainly would like to hear how it goes and see some photos of the area you fish in.

Hi, I'm back as Innes. For some reason I haven't been able to sign in as Kilo6 so I re-registered as Innes, my real name. Anyways the fishing trip got canceled because of G20 so perhaps we will go out next weekend. I will post pics when I get back. I bought some flies from a local FF shop and he said snow and ice were forming in the eastern peninsula and the hatch wasn't happening. We mulled over the map, he showed me some good spots and sold me some nymphs. I'm looking forward to our next outing. Some pictures below from an earlier recon.

Sorry but that's all I have for now. Hopefully next time it will be fish pictures.

Happy Birthday to any Marines out there. Semper Fidelis

Thumbs up Re: Hello from Seoul

Add my warmest welcome to our 'Farthest West' poster?

That is one hell of a good looking bit of water; if it doesn't have a heck of a fish population, it sure should.

innes,

Welcome to the forum. A question for you...

in the 2nd photo there appears to be some "gates" suspended over the water - are these for fish? or are they for kayak racing? or...what?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Brew, I was told those are for Kayak racing and the fishing is not too good in that area. Me and a few others are poking around the local FF shops and getting better info each day. It seems these Korean FF guys won't divulge the good spots until they get to know you. I don't blame them. These guys are very adamant about catch and release. vr
