- Biography
- Im a high voltage electrical fitter working on the grid and net work in New Zealand, Which can see me fishing remote spots through out the country. I moved to the Selwyn district two years ago and fell in love with the place and the abundance of fishing and hunting the area has too offer. I have a wife (who is very tolerant with my obsession with fishing) and Two children (daughter and a son).I enjoy hunting in the southern alps for deer and goats, and gamebird and vermaint shooting on the plains.
If i cant make it out fishing Ill tie flies which are my two favorite hobbys, recently Ive started tying salmon flies which is both rewarding and challanging. Most of my fishing is in small creeks and streams where sight fishing is practiced and can be very rewarding, I have recently started salmon fishing and with the advice I have recived here hope to get some with the fly.
In 2010, I have started researching and tying Classic New Zealand flies (mainly streamers and lures which is in the tying forum). Because of the lack of Info on flies from New Zealand. I have started a new web site <thenzflysite.com>, which has been great too have even more of an excuse too tie more flies (especially the old ones). - Location
