- Love the outdoors, anything such as camping, canoeing sports, etc. Avid Pittsburgh sports fan. I enjoy fly tying especially when trout or steelhead fishing is not an option.
I fish mostly for trout and for steelhead in fall/winter here in my home state of Pennsylvania. WI trout fishing is becoming a passion of mine and I try and get there to fish at least 2 occasions every year. It's the most technical fishing I've ever done and I love everything about it, in particular the company of my fishing companion of nearly 20 years. Looking to explore some of PA's limestone streams at some point but will need to do my homework. I enjoy fishing for smallies on occasion when the trout season winds down. Over the past couple of seasons I got into two handed bug slinging and got my first two handed setup last year. One year into that game, I landed some beautiful fish on my switch rig with the trusty Hardy St. John mounted on it. Always on the hunt for a good deal on fly tackle, new or old. Vintage Hardy reels are becoming an obsession of mine and it seems Sage rods just feel right in my hands. - Location

I have not blogged before and am not sure how much I'll follow through with it, but if any event calls for some writing, its this. The eve of my annual trout fishing trip.
