- About stridart
- A native Pennsylvanian who grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Peter Strid first heard his calling on the Snake River in Wyoming in 1992. That summer marked the beginning of his passionate relationship with the outdoors and the sport of fly fishing. Hesitant to leave behind his new found love, his collegiate career and life-long interest and talent in the arts beckoned. He packed his bags and pursued a fine arts degree with a major in Art at Colgate University. Surrounded by the beauty of Central New York, access to open studios and inspiring professors and mentors, Peter explored fly fishing themes across the majority of his works and projects; not the least of which would be his senior thesis.
After graduating from Colgate in 1996, Peter moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he spent time honing his fly fishing skills on the great rivers of the The Jackson Hole River Valley. Peter then moved to New York City where he was reintroduced to his wife, fell in love and was married. Peter is a husband and father of 3 beautiful children living in Wayne, PA
