- About troutonfly10
- Growing up I was introduced to the outdoors at a young age. My first outdoors expirence was when my dad took me waterfowl hunting at the age of 3 1/2 where the addiction of the outdoors was planted in me and continues to grow each and every day. Later when I was 5, and 7 we took trips to Canada to hunt waterfowl. I began my flyfishing career in the year of 2008 with a flyrod that I recieved from my parents for Christmas. I traveled to Estes Park, Colorado with my new flyrod in tow to fish Glacier Creek with my cousin. I have now upgraded in knowledge and gear, and I continue to learn and appreciate the sport more and more. I have been to the Rocky Mountians, the Black Hills of SD and Wyoming, Colorado, and Iowa, all fishing for trout, my favorite species. I also fish for panfish, bass, starting on walleye and pike, and I hopefully will get to get after some salmon. Flyfishing is tied for my favorite thing to do with waterfowl hunting. Hopefully someday, I will get to travel the world or the U.S. and catch many species; as well as make life long friends with fellow flyfisherman! As well as flyfishing, I also mainly hunt waterfowl in the prarie potholes of SD with my dad and sibblings, but occasionally I do hunt deer, and upland game. I play basketball year round and when I dont have games, our family goes camping and fishing in the summer. I am an incoming freshman this year and I still have alot of time to decide on what to do with my life as in job prospects, though I would love to have time to hunt and fish, and I do hope on going to college in Connecticut at UCONN. I like all of the professional sprots teams from Chicago except for the Whitesox :) As I grow older, I hope to be able to mentor anyone who is not as fortunate as me in hunting and fishing, as well as continue to grow in knowledge and expirence.

A day spent not fly-fishing is a day wasted.
