    Biography
    Former mid-westerner happy to be in colorful Colorado. From Chicago but lived most of my life in Michigan where I learned to fly fish, then tie, and finally to build graphite and now bamboo rods from blanks. Love fishing for trout but think there are few things more fun than an evening smallies hitting streamers on the Huron River outside Ann Arbor followed by the river boiling with rising bass as the Hex hatch after dark.

    Work in health care; love spending time with my wife, daughter (soon to be two daughter), and dog; and try get out fishing as often as I can.

    No insult taken. It's a good idea. However, in my case, I fish for hexes during the dark so I don't actually see the take. I estimate just about where the fly is and I listen for the slurp....
