Passage Creek VA

Went out Passage Creek this morning. I was suprised at the number of fish I saw. I spent some time near the fish hatchery and then farther down into the park I found a few nice pools. One of the pools looked like it had a 12-14 inch rainbow in it. Hopefully this helps any poor fly fisherman in NOVA that is looking for a place to go. I think I might head back there tomorow or Friday if anyone is interested in meeting up.

I went back there today and what a difference a few days make. After 9 don't bother going near the fish hatchery. It is a heavily fished area. Although I did see a few fish this morning I didn't get one to look at what I was casting. Passage creek has some very easy to spook fish.

I find that the large pool about a mile up from the hatchery is pretty good. Fish the pool and the tailwater out of it within 3 weeks of stocking and there still should be some fish there.
