hey all-

fairly new to the sport, been into it a few months now and love it. have hit a couple of the well known streams in my area, hoping to meet up with some more experienced anglers from the area. figured here was a good place to start. mainly interested in trout right now, but hoping to work towards getting a second rod(9 or 10 wt) down the road in hopes of musky and to use when i have the itch for bass etc...

welcome. There is lots of good trout water up that way! The james is great for smallmouth and head out to the new or cowpasture for muskie and walleye. I am in richmond so hit me up if u ever down this way.

I'm in Rocky Mount/Roanoke area.
I just moved up to that area from the New River Valley and haven't had a chance to fish the James yet, but I would love to meet up with you and possibly fish the James, and see how it compares to the New. Don't know a lot about the trout scene on this side of the state though, sorry.
