Any Philly Fly Fishers?

My brother is the only FFer I know in the area and for some reason he's only interested in dry fly fishing for trout, looking to meet some other fisherman who would be interested in day trips from Philly (I'm in center city) to fish for basically whatever can be caught on a fly rod.

I'm a big fan of Valley Creek but for trout I'd like to hit some streams that hold some bigger fish as well as basically anything else that will hit a fly. Haven't done too much warm water lately but love fishing for Bass in lakes and rivers. Bonus if you're into the idea of maybe splitting costs on a guide in the salt. Hit me up here or in a PM!

I fish every chance I get and I live in the city. I am new to fly fishing but have been spin fishing forever and have some great spots that I can't wait to try on the fly. I fish mainly for stripers, walleye, bass, weakfish, and now TROUT!!!

I am always down. Pm or email me at boogeyklat@gmail.com

Re: Any Philly Fly Fishers?

im a relocated philly fly guy, when i lived in the area and fished local my favorite streams were the little Leigh outside of allentown, the brodhead in east stroudsberg, the tulpehocken outside of reading, and the french creek outside of pottstown.

but the bread and butter of PA trout fishing for me is central pa, the fishing creek , penn's, spring, little juniata

hope that helps, next time ill be back home is in may, id be up for a trip if you want

I'm not living there anymore but I do come up quite often Chester county which is less than a hour form you have pretty decent trout streams. the first day of trout a lot of people hit the streams but after the first week there ain't to many left, people that is. The Brandywine is a great smallmouth river and you can wade most of it. there are delayed harvest on the upper Brandywine and on the white clay that hold trout well into the summer time. I grew up there and had many great times fishing those Chester county streams.
