Harman's in West Virginia

my wife has a few extra days over the weekend following August 16th. We are thinking about a quick trip to Harman's in WV but have heard the fishing is not so good in late summer.... Any feedback or advice on the trip would be greatly appreciated.....

The flows for this year are better than usual, so far as I've heard. That area is a mix of trout (that the guy stocks) and smallies.

I fish there twice a year and those fish get a good going over. If the water is at decent levels, the dry work in the early morning and evening could be good. Take some hoppers and crickets.
