Default Brooks and browns today...

Dropped to 17 last night. Started a little later but still had some rod icing. Had to break some thin shelf ice w/ a long, sturdy branch to drift one spot effectively. Lite bite on sucker spawn ,single eggs and a few on sanjuans.Had to practically dead stick the flies due to the cold water. Managed 11 landed. One brook was 14". No takers on nymphs or reaction patterns. Tight lines everyone !

it was Eddie. I used a hefty branch about 8' long to break the shelf ice and nudge it into the current. down over the falls they went. Also learning how to dead stick those yarn offerings. It's a finesse tactic: rolleyes:
