Default Felt boot regulations

Does anyone know which states EXPLICITLY forbid use of felt boots?

I know of only three: Vermont, Virginia and RI.

Thanks

I dont think VA has any restrictions on felt boots as of right now. Nothing is mentioned in the fish and game laws.

It's not that I enjoy being the bearer of bad news but; the safest way to cope is to make the switch to rubber and if you are not satisfied with the grip stud them in any way that is affordable for you. By doing so you won't have to worry about your boots because there is nowhere except most businesses that has a ban on cleated rubber soles................ Sorry but that's the way it is,

Hi,

The Invasive Species Action Network maintains an updated listing of all felt regulations in the US at Status of Felt Restrictions in the USA

There are currently full or partial bans on felt in Alaska, Maryland, Vermont, Missouri and Rhode Island.

Most of the felt bans have been driven out of concern for the alga didymo. There is a lot of basic science that is unknown or misunderstood about this invader and there will be an international Didymo Conference next year to bring all of the science to light. International Symposium on Didymosphenia geminata (didymo)

As the organizer of this conference, we want to insure that the concerns of anglers are addressed and we have a short poll to make sure we know what those concerns are at Angler Survey - 2013 Didymo Conference

Excellent first link there above; any idea if this will be continued to be up-dated?
